WEDDING GUIDE
The stunning vistas, and opportunity to spend time with family and close friends, is what draws many couples to the idea of hosting their wedding on the Mendocino Coast. Our property is perfectly designed for these gatherings, with ten spacious cottages allowing everyone to be close by, while still having a private retreat. When planning your event, keep in mind that destination weddings will often have only 60 to 70 percent of the original number attending. This leaves you with a managable, intimate event, and some extra room in your budget! And there are a variety of ways to still include guests that cannot make the trip, such as a videographer that can offer live streaming video of your ceremony and reception.
Ceremony Locations
The Cottages at Little River Cove provides a beautiful ceremony location on our ocean view lawn. Depending on the size of your event and weather, your guests can be seated either outdoors or underneath your tent- with a brief change over to get ready for your reception! Mendocino's rugged coastline, historic churches and pristine beaches offer additional options for your ceremony location. We are happy to help you research these sites, apply for permits and arrange additional rental equipment as needed.

Tented Receptions
The Cottages at Little River Cove is an ideal location for memorable weddings, whether you're planning a small informal gathering or an elegant affair for up to 80 guests. Our spectacular ocean views and beautiful gardens create a stunning backdrop for tented receptions or we have a vintage farmhouse for more intimate gatherings. We specialize in providing all inclusive wedding packages to make your wedding day easy and fun, but we are happy to customize our packages and menus to fit your needs. We also let you provide your alcohol, although we can make arrangements for delivery and bartending service, which saves you money. We currently have three sizes of wedding packages, but we are happy to customize them to the needs and size of your wedding.

Cottages at Little River Cove, comprising nine luxury cottages and a farmhouse studio cottage on lovely, two-acre property, is perfect for those who desire private, modern accommodations and amazing ocean views. The property's location is an ideal jumping off point to the village of Mendocino - just two miles away - and offers easy access to the area's dramatic ocean vistas, natural flora and fauna and outdoor activities ranging from kayaking and biking to quiet walks on the beach.
The luxury cottages boast upscale amenities and conveniences, from comfortable, contemporary décor - including stainless steel appliances and granite countertops in the full kitchens - to plush robes, cozy fireplaces and Sony 32" flat panel TVs. Guests can enjoy additional comforts, including in-cottage massage and spa services, as well as a concierge service. Six of the cottages are designated pet friendly. The property is also a short walk from two fabulous restaurants, and just two miles south of the shopping, dining, art galleries, and museums available to visitors in the historic village of Mendocino.
Our beautiful grounds have been professionally landscaped including rustic stone retaining walls, pathways for ambling, expansive green lawn, lush planted gardens and comfortable furniture to take in the many gorgeous views of the Pacific. "The Wedding of Our Dreams!"

Kelly created the wedding of our dreams at the Cottages at Little River Cove. Not only did she handle every little detail in the months leading up to the wedding, but she went above and beyond on the day of the wedding to make everything perfect!! We could not be more happy! The cottages were immaculate as usual. Clean and shining. The automatic fireplace was so lovely. And the bed? Sighhh, I wish that it was ours. It was so comfortable. The grounds are filled with an amazing array of flowers and it is SO quiet. The ocean view? Stunning. Mendocino is just a few minutes away as well as Glass Beach. To top it off, on our way back to the cottage after eating at the Little River Inn we were treated to the sight of a family of deer walking across the lawn. It was a picture perfect wedding and the cottage was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the Cottages at Little River cove and have!

"We had an unforegettable wedding weekend"

We recently got married in Little River and we decided to rent out the entire grounds of the Cottages at Little River Cove. It was by far one of the best decisions we made. First of all, the place is absolutely breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful, the view is to die for and the set up of the whole place is so ideal. Each cottage was so home-y and comfortable with a kitchen, living room and bedroom/bathroom. All the appliances were modern and nice and the views from each cottage were amazing.
We housed our close friends and family in the cottages and it created such a "summer camp" atmosphere. People just walked out and visited other families and really, everybody had such a great time. We're still hearing about it to this day. For big group weekends or family reunions, I would highly recommend renting out the entire grounds because it's so much fun!
Above all, the service provided by Kelly at the Cottages at Little River Cove were unbeatable. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Kelly was SO prompt and attentive while also incredibly flexible and accomodating. During the actual wedding weekend, she went above and beyond to make sure our guests were taken care of and that none of the details got missed. She also helped us arrange a Sunday brunch the day after the wedding and was quick to help when too many people showed up. Thank you Kelly for everything!
I can't say enough positive things about the Cottages at Little River Cove. We're definitely going back for anniversaries or weekend getaways with friends, etc. An incredible gem in the Mendocino area that I couldn't recommend more highly.

"Our Perfect Wedding"

We had never been to the Mendocino Coast before our recent trip there to get married. After reading favorable reviews of The Cottages at Little River Cove on this site, we chose one of their "elopement" packages for what we hoped would be an intimate, stress-free wedding including our immediate families and close friends. Our entire experience was perfect. With our party spread between five of the cottages, it was great to have our own space and still be so close to everyone else. The cottage kitchens had everything we needed for our small "rehearsal dinner" and a wedding day breakfast. The cottages were very clean and well-maintained. There were lots of choices for fun group activities in the immediate vicinity. The service we received was outstanding in general, and in specific regards to wedding details especially. Kelly and her staff did everything they could to make our visit a special one. She handled all of the wedding details with great care, including problems that arose with the local restaurant where we had our wedding dinner (which wound up being perfect too). Everyone left more than happy and full of fond memories of a special place. We look forward to returning for future anniversaries.
